Quarterly Update
On balance, group weightings were the most significant factor in performance results relative to its benchmark, the MSCI All-Country World Index – Information Technology (ND, C$), while stock selection was also beneficial. Strong stock selection and positioning in the semiconductors group led relative contributions. A selective allocation to hardware companies also helped relative performance. Significant exposure and solid stock picks in the telecommunication equipment arena rounded out major relative contributors. Weak selection in media stocks was the greatest detractor from relative results.
