Recommended For
The Fund may be suitable for medium term investors who: prefer to have professional managers determine the selection and composition of their investments, as well as provide ongoing monitoring services; are seeking a flow of income with a moderate degree of capital growth; are willing to accept a low level of risk.
Why Invest
Diversification across a number of income-generating funds may reduce your risk and help maintain a regular stream of income.

The Portfolio’s potential for capital gains and dividend income could provide tax-efficient income as both are taxed at a lower rate than interest income.

The Portfolio is rebalanced to help eliminate asset mix shifts over time.
Portfolio Update
Quarterly Update

Canadian bonds posted positive returns for the quarter. Both government and corporate bonds gained, with corporates outperforming their government counterparts. Corporate bonds continued to benefit from higher relative yields and strong company balance sheets, while government bonds benefitted from lingering concerns over European sovereign debt problems and slowing growth in the U.S. The Bank of Canada (BoC) held the overnight interest rate at 1.00 percent in September. It noted that global economic growth is slowing, as it predicted, and that economic growth in major emerging markets, including China, is slowing more rapidly than expected. Although dampened by global headwinds, Canadian economic growth continues and is expected to improve during 2013.
