Portfolio Update
Quarterly Update
In the third quarter of 2012,
the Fund was overweight
information technology and
consumer discretionary while
underweight materials, energy
and telecommunications. During
the quarter, the Fund
performed in line with the
benchmark. Stock selection
within energy and financials
added significant value.
However, this was offset by
the negative added-value of
the allocation to cash and the
holdings in information
technology. The Canadian
market was strong as all 10
sectors had positive
performance, led by the
materials, energy and health
care sectors. The portfolio
adviser continues to see
opportunities in energy
services and select materials
names as they remain valued
near 2008 levels.
