Portfolio Update
Quarterly Update

Asian markets rose 5.9 percent over the quarter, largely driven by anticipation of further quantitative easing in Europe and the U.S. The Fund outperformed, gaining 6.4 percent. Financials stocks in particular contributed to this. The best of these was warehouse operator, Global Logistic Properties after reporting solid interim results and announcing new long-term investment deals in China. The top contributor overall, though, was Australian-listed miner, Newcrest as investors responded well to its new five-year plan. The main detractor was a Chinese auto company which has joint ventures with Japanese partners, hurt by the current tensions between Japan and China.
